Registration Details

There are a few different ways you can get involved in the Black Mountains 3 Day mountain biking event. Our package details are below:

• Rider package – we've got a standard package with optional extras
• Companion package – for family and friends who want to come along and support the   riders
• Join as a volunteer – we've got a load of different roles, so join the team

We also have details of our cancellation policy below.

Rider package

The cost of entry into the Black Mountains 3 Day is £220 per person (20% deposit payable upon registration) and includes the following:

• 3 days of endurance riding
• Accommodation in tented village for 3 nights. Find details on accommodation here
• Dinner and breakfast – bring cash for lunch. Find details on catering here
• Nutrition at feed stations
• Great prizes from our fantastic sponsors
• Medical services
• 80 litre dry-bag – this is the only bag that will be transported between tented villages
• Rider t-shirt
• Lots of other goodies

Optional extras

Massage service

• Massages will be available from the evening of Thursday 30 July 2021 through to Sunday 1 August 2010.
• A course of three or four 30 minute sport massages can be booked online when you register at a cost of £75/£100 in total.
• Spot appointments may be available on the day but cannot be guaranteed - £30 for 30 minutes.

Mechanical service

• Servicing will be charged on a time and materials basis, priority will be given to bikes in  serious disorder. We have secured a local parts suppliers so a parts list will be available on the Bearded Man blog soon.
• A schedule of expected costs will also be available on the Bearded Man blog soon.

Accommodation supplement

• A single supplement for the tented accommodation is available so you don't have to share your tent with a stranger (if you are participating alone) at a cost of £15 for all three nights.

Companion package

The companion package is for any friends and family who want to come along and support the riders. The cost of companion entry for the Black Mountains 3 Day is £130 per companion (20% deposit payable upon registration).

This includes

• 3 days of supporting

• Transport between tented villages
• Medical services
• Companion 80 litre dry-bag – this is the only bag that will be transported between tented villages

Become part of the Bearded Man team as a volunteer

Volunteers are always needed and fully appreciated. If you would love to be part of this event but for whatever reason are unable to ride, do the next best thing and volunteer.

As a volunteer you will be part of the Bearded Man team and will be provided with a volunteer kitbag, volunteer t-shirt, the same food and accommodation as the riders and other treats.

Bearded Man is looking for volunteers for the following roles in the Black Mountains 3 Day:

• Safety marshalls
• Route marshalls
• Rider marshalls (riding some or all of the trail)
• Feed station helpers
• Tented village helpers

Marshalling volunteers must be a minimum age of 18 years old.

Cancellation policy

The Bearded Man cancellation policy is as follows:

• Cancellation before 1 July 2010: riders will receive a full refund less a £30 cancellation fee.
• Cancellation on or after 1 July 2010: there will be no refunds and Bearded Man recommend riders take out private insurance.
• Name change after 20 July 2010: riding teams may request a name change at a cost of £50.
